User Interviews is looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. 

The ideal candidate has B2B/SaaS experience as well as a strong interest in UX, product design, and (especially) user research. 

Your command of the English language is strong, but you know more words than you choose to use—because you’re trying to communicate with people, not show off. (Aka, no supplementary accolades for employing “magniloquent” in a sentence.)

As Content Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and distributing content for a UX/HCI/user research audience. 

We are looking for a talented someone to:

  • Conceptualize, create, and publish content on a regular basis, according to the editorial calendar.
  • Write blogs, whitepapers, reports, emails, and social copy that are consistent with our brand voice and positioning.
  • Identify new topics, opportunities to optimize existing content, and ways to maximize the impact of high-performing pieces by adapting them for different contexts and channels.
  • Consult and collaborate with user research experts, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Help grow a content marketing program that drives awareness and traffic, nurtures sales, and fuels ongoing engagement.

About you

You have a fundamental curiosity about people. Our entire company is built around the importance of interviewing users—and we apply that to our content, too. You need to want to talk to people and be willing to learn something from them. You also need to understand—instinctively and through data—what makes content good: honest, compelling, and useful to our audience. 

You should want to understand complex topics deeply, and push yourself to explain them in fresh yet approachable and unpretentious ways. You’re probably great at troubleshooting your parents’ smart TV crises over the phone.  

You’ll be set up for success in this role if you:

  • Have 3+ years of content marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Have a portfolio that showcases your published work (blogs, landing pages, whitepapers, etc).
  • Love writing—and are exceptionally good at it. You’re the kind of writer whose work requires minimal edits. Your writing makes other writers think “damn, that’s good... I wish I’d written that first.” Your content makes average folks on the internet think “damn, that’s good... I should share this in a company-wide Slack channel.”
  • Have sufficient technical knowledge to create modern digital content that goes beyond words on a page (i.e. some knowledge of multimedia + HTML/CSS). 
  • Understand SEO, social, email, and other key distribution channels. You enjoy promoting the things you create.
  • Have deeply held opinions about Oxford commas, em dashes, and semicolons.
  • Want to win, but do not need others to lose to win.
  • Take ownership, but are willing and eager to work with others.
  • Know how to manage your time and energy to stay within scope and meet deadlines.
  • Can’t wait to geek out about user research.
