Job description

Why Vacasa

We started with just one home and an idea: to bring homeowners and renters together with smart technology and caring local teams. Today, we’re the largest full-service vacation rental company in the US thanks to the people who give us their best every day. You’ll fit right in here if you’re curious, entrepreneurial, and thrive in a rapid-growth environment.

Why Marketing at Vacasa?

The Marketing team is a growth engine for the company, focused on innovating, iterating, and learning quickly in service of our customers and cross-functional partners. We are storytellers and reputation builders, blending left-brain creativity with right-brain pragmatism. We have big ambition - to make Vacasa the defining brand in hospitality for vacation rentals. We have a compelling story to tell and are looking for experienced Marketers to get the word out.

What we're looking for

The marketing team is looking for a sharp-eyed content specialist to tackle projects where editing, writing, and website QA meet. To start, you’ll be the point person for making sure the 20+ domains owned by Vacasa are brought up to brand standards (visual and copy), and assisting with the integration of TurnKey Vacation Rentals’ website content into Vacasa’s. You will also handle landing page requests for homeowner acquisition marketing campaigns and act as a filter for incoming requests that require someone to both edit/compile content and translate it into a landing page.

What you’ll do

  • Optimize content for all existing partner domains (approximately 20) and an estimated 5 new sites per year.
  • Review and audit sites for copy, imagery, and formatting that is not up to Vacasa brand standards.
  • Write replacement copy as necessary, and/or edit existing.
  • Coordinate with colleagues for implementation via our CMS; help QA updates.
  • Create and implement a plan for future (e.g. seasonal) updates to these sites, as appropriate.
  • Run point on blog editing & optimization project for homeowner and guest content
  • Review suggestions from our in-house SEO team on existing Vacasa blog posts, then help implement them on Vacasa.com (via both editing content and executing the website updates).
  • Assist with TurnKey/Vacasa blog merger: edit/revise TurnKey blog articles to convert them to Vacasa brand voice, incorporate new SEO recommendations, and assist with publishing on Vacasa.com.
  • Create and manage all custom landing pages for homeowner acquisition, referral, and real estate marketing campaigns, including pulling together and/or editing content, creating and publishing pages, and setting up vanity URLs.
  • Audit, suggest improvements for, and update existing pages of Vacasa.com that describe our property management and real estate services.
  • Other copywriting and/or web projects as assigned.

Skills you’ll need

  • BA or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5 years experience in copywriting, editing, and/or content management, ideally as part of a marketing team
  • Exceptional written communication skills, grammar, and attention to detail—if this job description had a typo, you’d catch it
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and embrace changes as they arise
  • Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IA, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MN, MT, NC, NH, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

What You'll Get

  • Health/Dental/Vision Insurances

  • Employee Assistance Programs
