Are you a technical writer with a natural curiosity for how things work? Do you enjoy making software and processes easy to understand? Can you create new content from scratch and improve existing documentation while maintaining a consistent style and tone?

Veeva is looking for an experienced Technical Writer who will invest in deeply understanding user needs and deliver content as part of a team that makes Veeva products easy to use for both end-users and administrators.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States or Canada. Veeva does not provide sponsorship of employment visas for this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Take ownership of one or more Vault applications (document multiple features per release cycle, track development, research the feature, write new content, and complete the review process)
  • Become an expert in Vault, including keeping up to date with new features documented by other writers
  • Implement improvements to existing documentation by addressing feedback from users, customer support, product managers, and our services team
  • Ensure that new articles maintain a consistent style, tone, and approach

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience
  • Post-graduate degree in technical communication, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and research skills
  • Ability to manage your time effectively when faced with competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Experience with Git, and Markdown language

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of the software development process and cloud software
  • Experience in an agile software development environment
  • Experience in writing for regulated industries
  • Experience using JIRA, Jekyll, and WordPress (or other CMS)
