Job description

Contract Length: 6 months - temp to hire based on performance

The Content Strategist will be joining the Digital Marketing team to provide leadership, strategy, and management of the content track of an enterprise-scale website re-platforming and redesign.

This individual must be a seasoned marketer with a track record of successfully managing large, complex content-centric projects in the digital space, and must be able to hit the ground running quickly to partner with marketing and business partners as we bring a new website to life on the Drupal 10 platform in September 2023.

This individual will hold responsibility for identifying content gaps, organizing content strategy, overseeing content creation, and overseeing strategy to migrate existing content to the new website.

With a deep understanding of content strategy that meets business objectives, fluency in the content creation process, and a strong command of both written and multimedia content, this individual will partner closely with a team of experts in SEO, CRM, CMS, and performance marketing to bring an ambitious website property to life.

To succeed in this role, the individual will bring both leadership as well as the ultimate team player collaboration mindset.

Working on a close-knit central marketing team that supports multiple business units, this individual should be skilled at managing within a large enterprise network, and bring a strong bias toward communication, self-directed action, and building a playbook (versus relying on an existing process). Creative, results-oriented thinking will be critical, and excellent organizational skills will be essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of sitemap from a content perspective, encompassing approximately 1000 pages of content, identifying, tracking, and making a plan for filling both written and multi-media content gaps.
  • Collaborate and work seamlessly with the website working team, including digital product owners, project managers, asset managers, PIM/DAM, SEO, CMS team, and performance marketing team to ensure clear communication, alignment, and project tracking.
  • Secure additional resources as needed to fill content gaps, including existing agency roster, internal resources, and external partners.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong command of the content creation process, encompassing both written and multimedia.
  • Fluency in content strategy, with the ability to surface the most critical points and craft effective content.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Skilled in Agile project management, and able to hit the ground running in existing Agile framework.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and performance marketing.
  • Command of content effectiveness KPIs, and ability to quickly partner with the team to build tracking and measurement framework.
