Virtual Field is in search of a Content Marketing Manager who will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content to effectively convey our brand messaging and engage our target audience, thereby supporting Virtual Field's growth goals. In this role, you will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy with the overarching objectives of enhancing brand visibility, increasing engagement, and generating leads. This position will report directly to the VP of Marketing.

Your responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Alignment: Analyze business objectives and develop content strategy & execution, including pillar/cluster mapping and multi-channel optimization. Translate that strategy into annual, quarterly and monthly marketing plans that align to company goals for driving lead generation, demo bookings, and online orders.
- Bold & Innovative Rebrand: Work alongside VP of Marketing, brand agency and other team members to complete an innovative, bold rebrand of Virtual Field that sets us apart from the pack. Play a key role in content development and brand strategy.
- Thought Leadership & Brand Message: Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy to position Virtual Field as a market leader. Own the creation of high-quality white papers, webinars, blogs, industry reports, and occasional executive decks for major events and conferences. In time, develop and speak to a depth of subject matter expertise about our product and market.
- Ad Content & Messaging Strategy: Craft compelling ad copy, messaging frameworks, and content for integrated campaigns across digital channels, including display ads, LinkedIn campaigns, and sponsored content. Work with the digital marketing team to ensure alignment with campaign goals and KPIs.
- ABM Content & Campaign Strategy: Collaborate with and advise product marketing and ABM teams to create highly targeted content for named accounts, including bespoke landing pages, personalized emails, and tailored content designed to drive engagement with key enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Drip & Nurture Campaigns: Develop the content strategy and execution plan for drip and nurture email campaigns using HubSpot, ensuring content is timely, and aligned with the buyer’s journey to nurture leads through the funnel.
- Social Media Strategy & Execution: Develop a content strategy for LinkedIn and other relevant channels, leveraging thought leadership content, industry insights, and timely product focused campaigns. Optimize social content for engagement and lead generation. Being comfortable on camera for social content is a plus.
- Customer & Product Communication: Create key customer communication that increases user adoption, product awareness, customer upgrades and reduces customer churn. Craft internal and external communications for new product launches and feature releases.
- Website: Work directly with our heads of marketing, design and product marketing to build and optimize our B2B website.
- Competitor & Market Research: Own our competitive strategy, including competitor and marketplace research, landing page and ad development, and sales battlecards.
- Sales Enablement: Create meaningful and impactful sales enablement resources, including email templates, pitch decks, one-pagers, social posts, etc. Hold weekly huddles for communication on marketing initiatives and feedback loop from sales on what’s working.
- SEO, AI & Digital Content Optimization: Ensure all content is optimized for search and SEO best practices—including developing a strategy for AI answers. Collaborate with growth marketing to maximize the discoverability and performance of blog posts, landing pages, and other online assets.
- Analytics & Content Performance: Use analytics to track content performance, provide insights into what’s working, and iterate based on data. Drive growth for KPIs such as website traffic, keyword rankings, net new leads generated, social media engagement and growth, demos scheduled, online orders and more.
- Content Calendar & Cross-Functional Management: Own the content calendar and work closely with product, marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive, timely content delivery. Align content production with broader go-to-market (GTM) strategies and product launches. Own strategy and execution for multi-channel campaigns, including:
- Social media
- Case studies
- Whitepapers, eBooks, guides
- Webinars, podcasts & speaking engagements
- Video
- Press releases
- Email (lead nurture, drip campaigns, newsletters)
- Interactive content (calculators, surveys, etc.)
The ideal candidate
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a content marketing or inbound marketing role, 5-7 years preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading content & brand strategy, with a portfolio showcasing a mix of social, digital, and long-form content.
- Experience in content marketing for B2B SaaS; experience managing content marketing for healthcare, health tech, or health-adjacent organizations is preferred
- Hubspot certified; experience with tools like Salesforce, WordPress, Canva, SEMRush, Asana preferred
- Exceptional organization and project management skills
- A track record of working independently and proactively, with a self-starter approach and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven success in managing content calendars, timelines, and deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation & benefits
Annual compensation range of $90,000-$110,000, including base and performance-based bonus
