Our team builds products to enhance the lives of millions of Americans. We create compelling digital experiences for customers, whether they are at home, in the store or on the go. We build the tools our merchants need to select the very best products to help our customers live better. We also make the services and systems our 1.2 million employees need to do their jobs in our stores and throughout our entire supply chain.  

As a UX Writer/Content Strategist, you’ll use your talents of strategy and storytelling to produce impactful product copy that intuitively leads the customer through the experience and take action as necessary. Working closely with your product and design partners, you’ll create copy that balance business, legal and technical considerations. In presenting polished work to the wider group, you’ll provide context and rationale during review. As a lifelong learner, you’ll proactively solicit feedback from stakeholders and develop a keen sensibility of how and when to incorporate changes. Ultimately, you’ll transform complex information into best-in-class experiences, keeping the customer’s needs top of mind.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you... 

  • Have 3+ years in UX content strategy working with product copy, feature updates and preferably the accompanying comms. 
  • Understand and apply fundamental UX concepts and best practices in writing.
  • Anticipate and invite feedback to improve work product and self.
  • A keen eye for editing and revising; when requirements change or business needs pivot.
  • A growing understanding of systems thinking and information architecture. 
  • Iterate with accessibility and inclusion in mind, including ADA compliance standards. 
  • A positive mindset with a penchant for puzzles. You’re nimble and understand innately what ‘less is more’ means to the user.  
  • A passion for content strategy, enthusiasm for spreading the word and a desire to make a positive impact on the org’s culture.

  • Contributing to the strategic vision of the end-to-end shopping experience by understanding the problem you’re trying to solve and delivering customer-centric, on-brand flows. 
  • Supporting your team, being detail-oriented and working well with others. 
  • Solving complex problems with curiosity and openness. 
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to incorporate feedback from different areas of the organization. 
  • Using design research, competitive analysis, relevant metrics/KPIs to deliver strategic, engaging, impactful communications.  
  • Thinking holistically through the ecosystem of use cases.
