Job description

Are you an experienced communicator that can educate, stimulate and influence change? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Innovation & Acceleration Commercialization Team where you can help shape and drive the commercial strategy of our new products and solutions through the development of commercial messaging and content – that will ultimately support internal commercial enablement and execution of WTW offerings while creating external demand in the marketplace. 

Our commercialization team sits at the intersection of clients, markets, geographies, sales, marketing, research and innovation. We enable, empower and equip our distribution teams with the knowledge, skills, processes and mindset to execute in the most impactful and efficient manner. 

  • Support the commercial development of new and innovative products and solutions through the development of commercial content, including value proposition creation, product/solutions overviews, sales sheets, commercial one-pagers, blogs, broader authorship and external market messaging 
  • Partner with market and clients insights liaison and commercial content lead to assess market research, commercial trends and client needs to influence and help create commercial content plan and shape product/solution positioning 
  • Attend new project “immersion” sessions to kick off commercialization involvement in bringing new solutions/products to market; contribute to the development of respective commercial plans
  • Co-lead and/or manage commercial development efforts for select new projects coming out of testing
  • Contribute to/support the development of sales enablement materials to help educate internal WTW sellers; create new commercial content material (e.g., interactive tools) to support market-facing activities
  • Attend regular meetings with the Commercialization team (Head Enablement, Execution) to discuss ongoing I&A project pipeline

The Requirements

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant business experience associated with leveraging market insights, identifying the commercial application, developing commercial messaging and narrative, and implementing creative and pragmatic approaches to creating market demand
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., communications, change management, psychology, marketing, etc.)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply understanding of human behavior to influence, shape and deliver effective messages and information
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment to manage multiple tasks with a variety of senior stakeholders while maintaining an agile approach with teammates; client-facing experience a plus
  • Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues and leverage the resources of other related practices to address commercial challenges
  • Financial literacy, business acumen, curiosity and desire to learn/stretch on new topics
  • Ability to draw conclusions from quantitative research and qualitative discussions (e.g., team meetings, client interviews) in a logical, systematic way
