Job description

As Content Manager, your focus will be on owning and developing our three brands through content creation, maintaining project workflow within the internal team and outside agencies, creating consistency within all marketing collateral, and staying current on market trends and competitors to attract, capture and nurture targeted personas across the B2B buying cycle.

Additionally, you will be the senior copywriting resource on the team, producing content alongside internal, agency and freelance resources, to fulfill the Worldwide Express, Unishippers and GlobalTranz editorial calendars.

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Work alongside brand managers and strategic leaders to develop the content strategy and associated editorial calendars that drive organic traffic growth for customer acquisition and feed customer retention campaigns
  • Develop and maintain the brand voice for Worldwide Express, Unishippers and GlobalTranz, and maintain style guides to enable consistency across content creators
  • Write and edit email campaigns, sales enablement materials (brochures, one-sheets, presentations, etc.), blog posts/articles, landing pages, white papers and downloadable content that educates prospects and customers on the industry and how we can help solve their challenges and achieve their business goals
  • Work cross-functionally with teams like Sales, Operations and Technology to understand the company, our customers and our solutions offerings
  • Utilize SEO, SEM and general content creation best practices and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to continue to inform and evolve brand content for improved performance and optimization
  • Ensure cohesiveness of content and design by collaborating with internal and agency graphic designers, writing with an eye for layout or end-use
  • Manage project workflow and provide status updates as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Strategic Communications, Advertising, Journalism, English or a similar degree area preferred
  • 5-7 years B2B copywriting and copyediting experience required, preferably in a corporate marketing department
  • 1-2 years management experience, overseeing a combination of projects, agency relationships and internal team members
  • Understanding best practices for SEO and email content creation, including keyword strategy, A/B testing, CTA placement and more
  • Ability to learn about a new industry quickly
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and challenges into digestible, easy to understand content around a strong narrative
  • Passion for writing, messaging, content marketing and becoming knowledgeable on the logistics and supply chain industry
  • Experience working with agencies preferred
  • Familiarity with/working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
