Job description

WRTV, The E.W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, IN, is looking for a Digital Content Specialist to join the team. The Digital Content Specialist ensures that our consumers enjoy high-quality digital content across dozens of websites and digital products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide editorial and image updates for programs across Scripps Network websites and digital products.
  • Schedule content updates across multiple platforms including web and OTT using a CMS.
  • Liaise with relevant internal departments with the direction of the Content Operations team, and coordinate assets and workflows to receive and publish timely content updates.
  • Adjust or edit existing content tailored to mobile and OTT digital viewers.
  • Assist in sourcing images, gathering and writing entertainment content and other metadata.
  • Ensure core sourced content and metadata is current, accurate, and complete.
  • Review analytics on content performance and make decisions based on data.
  • Support teams within social media and other marketing teams to drive impact and increase audience and engagement for Scripps Networks.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of digital content coordination or management experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience in editing promotional and marketing copy for consumer-facing websites, emails, and other digital platforms.
  • Experience with analytic tools is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CMS tools preferred.
  • Passion for the highest quality news and entertainment content.
  • Problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
  • Strong sense of time management in order to meet deadlines and execute time-sensitive decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Availability to work on a flexible schedule.
