Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and results-driven Content Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping and amplifying YellowBird’s voice within the EHS industry by creating and managing impactful content across multiple formats. This includes blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and webinars that highlight YellowBird’s position as a thought leader. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop content strategies that drive lead generation, educate our audience, and establish YellowBird as the trusted name in EHS. We are looking for someone who not only creates, but is an eager strategist focused on learning and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Develop and execute a content strategy that positions YellowBird as an industry thought leader and helps educate users on the benefits of our solution. While execution on this strategy is vital, the key to this role is to be able to work with fellow marketing team members to develop a strategy for content that aligns with the overall marketing plan and builds brand awareness, generates leads, grows website traffic, etc. You will be responsible for managing the content calendar and ensuring on-time delivery of content through various channels.
- Content Creation: Create, edit, and publish high-quality, engaging content such as blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and more.
- Blog & Website Management: Manage the YellowBird blog, ensuring it remains a timely, relevant, and valuable resource for EHS professionals, risk managers, compliance managers, and others in our target audience.
- Webinars & Virtual Events: Organize, produce, and promote webinars that feature expert insights on EHS best practices and innovations, showcasing YellowBird’s unique offerings.
- Podcast Development: Organize, produce, and promote podcasts that feature expert insights on EHS best practices and innovations, showcasing YellowBird’s unique offerings.
- Collaborate with SMEs & Stakeholders: Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the EHS industry, YellowBird Pros, and internal stakeholders to produce high-quality content.
- Thought Leadership Development: Stay updated on EHS trends, emerging topics, and industry needs to proactively develop content that positions YellowBird as an authoritative voice.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Use data analytics to track content performance, including engagement metrics, SEO impact, and lead generation outcomes. Execute A/B tests and content experiments to continually optimize strategy and performance. Work with our external resources and the Data Analyst to fine tune.
- Adapt to Startup Environment: Embrace and excel within the dynamic nature of startup culture. Quickly pivot and re-prioritize based on evolving company goals, adapting content efforts to align with changing strategic focuses.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in content marketing, journalism, or related field, preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with EHS, Risk Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Content Creation: Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating diverse content formats (blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, webinars, etc.).
- Data & SEO Proficiency: Experience with A/B testing, content analytics, SEO best practices, and content performance tracking.
- Organized & Flexible: Highly organized with strong project management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative & Collaborative: Ability to bring fresh ideas to the table and work collaboratively across departments.
