This upcoming Web Content Manager will provide web project management to our Federal Government Client.
The Web Content Manager's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for project management and overall coordination and completion of projects.
- Handles schedules, deadlines and reports.
- Monitors and summarizes the project and team progress.
- Ensures that customer objectives are met, provides oversight of work, assigns company assets, manages the team, interfaces with customers, makes personnel assignments and performs other duties related to the success of the project.
- Leads the web content initiatives of clients, and partners with internal and external partners to implement the content strategy based on the marketing strategies and processes.
- Plays a key role in developing a comprehensive content management system and implements changes to site layout and content based on usability, analytics, search engine, and business objectives.
- Oversees a team of content specialists; provides direction and guidance on projects as needed; and identifies the type of content that will best enable clients to communicate their positioning and achieve their online goals.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight. Schedules personnel, provides detailed training to team members, prepares reports and works closely with clients to implement content objectives and strategies.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 12+ years of experience managing a team with multiple direct reports.
- Editorial Management for all content and production.
- Experience in a news environment or in content management for news-driven/public affairs Web sites.
- Substantial experience writing news and feature articles.
- Considerable experience producing articles that are being published on websites.
- Experience covering a variety of activities and programs.
- Experience editing submitted articles, photo captions, newsletters, Web site copy and other publications as needed.
- Requires experience doing basic photo enhancements/crops with Adobe Photoshop.
- Must have 10+ years of experience working with AFPIMS Content Management System.
- Certified as an AFPIMS Site Manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Writing or a related discipline
- Eligible for a Government Tier 1 background/NACI clearance
- To be eligible for this role, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of hire.
