Rachel is a senior content designer at Content Design London. She is the co-author of Content Design (second edition) with Sarah Winters and editor of and contributor to Designed with Care: Creating trauma-informed content.
Her interest is in creating accessible content for people experiencing stress, anxiety and trauma. But in 2024, a personal experience showed her what it’s like to live with those emotions while trying to navigate information. Juggling complicated information, overwhelming emotions, and navigating content on a mobile phone with low signal, she thought about what users need in the moment of crisis, and how that changes over time.
Rachel’s experience includes working with parliament, government, and charities to create content that helps people understand their rights.
