Sammie Spector is a UX design leader who got her start as Silicon Valley's first-ever content design intern. She left the West Coast but continued to grow alongside the discipline, working on FinTech experiences and discovering a love of behavioral science along the way. Since then, she's worked across fintech, media, and home services, shaping product experiences for subscription products, e-commerce platforms, and marketplaces.

Along the way, she's oscillated between product design and content design practitioner and leadership roles, and still can't make up her mind, though her roots (and heart) are in content design.

She's just as interested in the interface level as the the infrastructure behind it: intricate flows, AI frameworks, and design systems. She's spent most of her career making the case that words are a design material, not a finishing touch, and keeps getting lucky finding opportunities to dive deeper into new facets of the UX industry as it evolves.

After becoming a hardened New Yorker, she's now based in London. No one told her about the rain.
