Fort Vancouver Regional Library District

Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries (FVRL) is the fifth-largest library district in the state of Washington, serving 4,200 square miles in the southwest corner of the state. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, the district was established in 1950 as the first inter-county rural library district in the state, the district’s communities are served through 15 library locations (including two express locations) and two bookmobiles with shared access to:

  • A floating collection of more than 650,000 books, magazines, DVDs, and audiobooks
  • Downloadable eBooks and audiobooks
  • 1 gig Internet speed for staff and public
  • Centralized chat and email reference support
  • Extensive electronic resources including streaming movies and music
  • Foreign language ebooks
  • Books by mail for rural and homebound patrons
  • Instant online access for new cardholders

FVRL encompasses all of populous Clark County (with the exception of the city of Camas, which has its own city library), Skamania and Klickitat Counties, and the city of Woodland in Cowlitz County. FVRL also provides library services by contract with the independent, rural Yale Valley Library District in Cowlitz County.
