Job description
We are looking for a technical content designer with a strong background in technical writing, knowledge management, information architecture, UX writing, and HTML/CSS frameworks. The successful candidate for this role will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Build and maintain robust technical documentation architecture for fast-paced engineer org
- Design user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning technical insights into language that sets our users up for success.
- Optimize documentation and UX content design for integration with large language model (LLM) frameworks.
- Leverage HTML/CSS to design engaging product manuals, user guides, product help sections, wiki pages, and other content that distills technical information with ease and clarity.
- Display experience working in a product- and design-thinking environment showcasing the ability to align the user experience of documentation with the user experience of enterprise applications.
- Work with support leads and subject matter experts to develop, organize, and publish technical presentations for stakeholders
- Document insights on customer interviews, research discussions, focus groups, and surveys to disseminate to myriad stakeholders
- Promote our company brand, goals, and values, and curate messaging to internal and external audiences.
- Work with the leadership and service teams to take concepts and ideas for proposals, road mapping plans, etc. and turn them into visually engaging deliverables.
Minimal Qualifications:
- An up-to-date portfolio showcasing professional or academic experience with content design, technical writing, information science, and/or UX writing projects
- Strong web design skills leveraging HTML/CSS to create customized layouts for content delivery
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Experience working with software engineering to improve UI design, help refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support teams
- Ability to create design-forward slide presentations to present to executive leadership
- Expert understanding of storytelling, ability to convey the intended message, and ability to balance technical jargon with common sense concepts
- Creativity and strong understanding of the fundamental principles of graphic design and content layouts
- Familiarity with user experience and accessibility best practices, especially from a content perspective
- Proven ability to quickly grasp the functionality of new products and understand technology and complex topics
- Experience with content architecture to organize a library of hundreds of disparate documents in a presentable and logical manner
- Experience working cross-functionally with creative departments, marketing, sales, information systems, etc.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling many projects simultaneously
- Organized and able to assess how people view and understand content
- Familiarity with software development, system architecture, and operations is a plus
- Experience working in a PMO developing processes and guidelines is a plus

Pay Range: $50/hr to $55/hr
