Role: Content Strategist
Location: Remote first role (in Gloucestershire 1-2 days per week)
About Freja
Freja is the UK’s leading bone broth brand, a category that sits between premium ingredients and functional food, with an ecommerce-first business model. Following 4 years of rapid growth and a recent investment round, we are refreshing our brand, and building a team to scale the business. We're a small internal team that punches above our weight. We operate a flat structure and a ‘get things done’ mentality. We all roll our sleeves up and execute.
About the Role
About you
The ideal candidate will have exceptional copywriting skills combined with strategic thinking and a deep understanding of consumer psychology. You'll be able to articulate how to get under the skin of the Freja customer persona, understanding the psychological and emotional need states that our products can fulfil. You should be comfortable with data analysis to inform your content decisions, whilst maintaining the creative flair needed to craft compelling narratives that educate and convert. You'll have 3+ years of experience in content strategy, ideally within food, wellness, or other consumer goods categories. Experience with challenger brands or in launching new product categories is highly valuable. You should be excited about leveraging AI tools to enhance your capabilities, whilst maintaining the authentic human touch that connects with our audience. We're a remote-first business, which means you'll need to be a self-starter who owns their work, over-communicates and knows how to manage projects effectively using digital tools. You'll be expected to spend 1-2 days per week in our office in Stroud, to collaborate with other team members and immerse yourself in the brand. Lastly, you must be a genuine consumer of bone broth. We're a team of bone broth evangelists who truly care about our mission, and you can't create authentic content unless you understand and believe in the product.
Remote-First Working
Freja operates a remote-first working environment. This means that your official place of work is at home, but we do require the team to attend weekly meetings in the office, and occasional workshops and events in other locations. Where travel is required to the office or to any other location, this is covered in expenses.
