Technical Writer

Our West Michigan Client has a short term contract opportunity to assist with creating and maintaining documentation related to the Fieldglass platform. This includes documenting technical specifications, user manuals, release notes, and other related materials for a Fieldglass upgrade. This will run approximately 4 weeks.

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $40 - 50 per hour

Work Hours: 8am to 5pm

Education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Researching and gathering information on Fieldglass platform features, functionality, and updates
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the Fieldglass platform, including user manuals, installation guides, and system requirements
• Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete documentation
• Reviewing and editing documentation for accuracy, consistency, and readability
• Managing documentation releases and version control
• Providing training to end-users on how to use the Fieldglass platform
• Creating and maintaining knowledge articles and FAQs
• Participating in Fieldglass platform testing and troubleshooting as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in documenting and diagramming processes
• Experience in documenting how-to technical guides (KBAs)

Skills

• Excellent writing and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of the Fieldglass platform.
• Experience using programs like Visio to support writing.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience with Fieldglass is highly preferred.
