UX Writer & Content Designer

As a UX Writer & Content Designer, you drive positive change by defining a scalable, user-centered approach to solve difficult problems. You influence by guiding the momentum of related efforts. You apply your expertise by serving as a subject-matter expert in your craft, UX principles, user-centered product development methodologies, and research tools. You collaborate with others to deliver work such as: audits that analyze and identify opportunities to create UX solutions that increase product value; machine learning heuristics to scale product quality; writing and information design patterns across user experiences; product narratives that successfully guide the user through and within the product. You drive alignment efforts across teams or products to create cohesion. When proposing solutions, you may start with language, but look beyond words to influence design holistically. You have a proven ability to design products and deliver cohesive UX solutions for key parts of the product, platform, or user experience; and possess the depth of knowledge, experience, and business acumen required to assess and communicate rationale for your choices in terms of quality, longevity, and scalability; you collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional peers across the company.

Responsibilities Include

• Build support for user experiences through principled and well-reasoned or data-driven UX choices.
• Advocate for all UX functions to be appropriately included in the design process.
• Help build alignment and partner with key stakeholders (e.g., marketing, legal, engineering) to communicate product narrative, vision, mission, or principles.
• Use and propose new, key data and metrics to evaluate product impact.
• Understand the product ecosystem, user trends, and industry (e.g., competitors) by collaborating across teams when developing solutions.
• Create UX solutions based on user insights, business needs, and industry trends that further business objectives.
• Partner with stakeholders in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Drive improvements in UX based on research and stakeholder input and provide input and feedback to engage stakeholders on product writing and design to achieve product goals.
• Contribute to developing project priorities in alignment with larger project goals and help scope UX resources within the project. Act on opportunities to expand responsibilities within the immediate product team.
• Identify opportunities to improve Product Excellence for all users, such as localization and accessibility.
• Apply, adapt, and/or define UX frameworks for user experiences, including principles, patterns, and systems.
• Leverage writing and design tools to visualize ideas or develop mock-ups or prototypes to drive the product vision forward.
• Tailor deliverables based on product or platform requirements independently. Identify and follow writing and design templates, style guides, and accessibility guidelines.
• Drive the establishment of holistic UX processes, systems, frameworks or patterns across teams or products.
• Perform design and testing processes and help develop and generate support for a design vision with partners.
• Create innovative UX solutions to user, product, and business problems.
• Anticipate evolving writing and design constraints and communicate rationale of choices related to solutions.
• Guide UXers in creating concepts for product ideation and/or user research/testing or conduct research independently to inform UX.
• Seek research insights to develop the appropriate design direction.
• Propose ideas to improve UX by analyzing or anticipating user needs and gaps in language comprehension.
• Through collaboration with others, solve problems within the constraints of strategy, product, or technology.
