Job description
Cimarron is seeking a Technical Content Writer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with the Senior Technical Content Writer, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to develop clear, persuasive content highlighting team accomplishments and performance.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, procedures, and process materials to support IT service delivery.
- Edit and standardize content produced by IT staff for proposals, customer briefings, and internal documentation.
- Organize and manage documents in a central repository, ensuring consistency and version control.
- Assist with the planning, collection, and reporting of documentation-related metrics.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Technical Content Writer, including administrative and content development tasks.
- Partner with systems and development teams to gather technical information and translate it into user-friendly documentation.
- Research and recommend tools, templates, and strategies to improve documentation quality and efficiency.

- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- 3 or more years of directly related experience in technical writing or content development.
- Experience writing, creating, and interpreting technical documents related to information technology topics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint.
- Strong skills in developing, editing, and structuring documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-directed in gathering information, interviewing subject matter experts, developing content, and coordinating approvals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, innovative, and able to respond quickly to changing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related Information Technology field.

Master's degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related Information Technology field.
