Content Designer

Our FI client is looking for a hybrid Product/Content Designer to join their team. This will be a 12+ month role, fulltime hours pers week and 3-4x per week onsite Downtown Toronto.

This role includes Product Design, UX Writing and Research (on a team of Designers and Researchers who are hybrid as well).

Rate range is $60-62.5 per hour, T4.

Responsibilities:

• User Research - Conduct interviews, usability tests, and analysis to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Experience Design - Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that communicate interaction patterns and product direction.
• Visual Design - Develop clean, accessible, responsive UI designs aligned with brand and usability standards.
• Content Strategy - Define content structure, hierarchy, tone, and messaging frameworks that support user understanding and product goals.
• Information Architecture - Organize content and workflows for clarity, discoverability, and efficiency.
• Design Systems - Contribute to scalable components, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency across the product.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align on requirements and ensure accurate implementation.
• Iteration and Testing - Use feedback, analytics, and testing insights to refine and improve the user experience.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in UX/UI design for digital products
• Strong understanding of content strategy, information hierarchy, and user comprehension
• Ability to translate research insights into actionable design and content decisions
• Proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)
• Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive user journeys
• Portfolio demonstrating design process, research methods, and strategic content thinking
