Job description
Our client is looking for a Web Content Strategist to join their team. This will be a 6+ month contract, with likelihood to convert to FTE. You must reside in Ottawa, as this will be 2x per week in-office.
Responsibilities:
- Build web strategies and roadmaps that support the client's digital and customer experience goals.
- Partner with CX to define target-state journeys and digital channel direction.
- Turn strategy into clear, actionable plans with defined success metrics.
- Use research, data, and benchmarking to identify opportunities and best practices.
- Shape data, content, SEO/GEO/AIO, and personalization strategies.
- Ensure accessibility is embedded across content, design, and technology.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual planning with business and tech partners.
- Guide teams on requirements, UX/UI, development, and data collection.
- Monitor performance and user behavior to drive continuous improvements.
- Align web, search, content, personalization, and generative AI strategies.
- Advise teams on best practices in design, development, and content management.
- Support major web transformation initiatives, including redesigns and platform migrations.
- Ensure web strategy aligns with campaigns, paid media, social, and email.
- Contribute to the integration of new technologies, including Generative AI.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in a digital strategy, UX, or web experience role.
- Strong strategic thinking with a focus on customer and business outcomes.
- Solid understanding of usability and user-centered design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with agile delivery, CMS platforms, SEO, GEO, and analytics tools.
