Content Strategist

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on teaching students what to think. This position focuses on teaching them how to execute.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication skills, and competence necessary for post-graduation success. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to coach execution. You will establish rigorous expectations, maintain accountability, and challenge students to produce work that meets professional standards. As the program expands, your impact grows with it; your workshops integrate into the school's core operations, and the students you mentor become evidence of this model's effectiveness.

What You Will Be Doing

• Create and facilitate hands-on workshops (40% of your time) covering subjects including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal branding, and additional practical domains; leveraging your professional background
• Provide 1:1 coaching (60% of your time) as students execute real projects across specific areas such as business ventures, marketing initiatives, and software development, employing targeted questions to identify obstacles and drive measurable advancement
• Maintain rigorous standards for confidence, communication, and competence; stepping in when performance declines and establishing concrete commitments during each session
• Guide students in leveraging AI platforms (ChatGPT, Claude) for content generation, refinement, and efficiency gains
• Maintain direct communication with students and parents regarding progress, performance gaps, and action plans

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Conducting traditional lectures or following a standardized curriculum
• Evaluating large volumes of homework assignments or emphasizing theoretical concepts
• Supporting unmotivated students through excessive accommodation or compromising standards for comfort
• Functioning within a slow-moving, bureaucratic educational institution

Content Strategist Key Responsibilities

Produce measurable advancement in students' confidence, communication abilities, and practical competence by coaching them to execute consistently at a high standard.

Basic Requirements

• Documented record of significant personal achievement in at least one practical domain: launching a business, building an audience, generating revenue, producing research, competing at an elite level, or equivalent
• Demonstrated capability to coach teenagers through resistance or avoidance behaviors
• 3+ years experience coaching/mentoring teenagers
• Direct, transparent communication approach: confident presenting to groups and providing candid feedback to teenagers and parents
• Proficiency with AI/technology tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
• Available to work on-site in Austin, TX. Relocation support is provided
• Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Specialized expertise in at least one practical field (entrepreneurship, medicine, sales, technology, creative industries, finance, athletics) that you can integrate into coaching sessions and workshops with depth
• Background working in a startup or high-growth organization at any capacity

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
