Devire IT Outsourcing is a form of cooperation dedicated to specialists in the IT industry, based on the principles of their own business - B2B, implementing projects for leading clients running innovative and modern projects.
Currently for our Client we are looking for a Technical Writer, who will join an already-established writing team focused on creating customer-facing content, including: UI text, in-product user assistance, product documentation, and API/Developer materials. You will collaborate with a cross functional team, including Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, Developer Advocacy and Quality Assurance to develop high-quality content to enhance our customer experience.
Our Client is one of the biggest companies as for the internet traffic management and data caching. This is the leader in Web Application Acceleration, Performance Management and Streaming Media Services, having more than 200,000 servers and delivering up to 30% of all Web traffic.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or another related field or its equivalent
- Have min. 5 years of experience in similar position
- Be skilled in using content development tools
- Have a solid understanding of HTML and markdown
- Have demonstrated experience writing UI text, in-app guidance, product documentation, and API documentation.
- Have demonstrated experience using source control (GIT)
- Be capable of optimizing development and documentation processes
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills in English
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to plan user-assistance projects, anticipate documentation needs, solve problems, and communicate progress.
- Drive documentation projects through the complete development cycle, with the help and guidance of more senior team members: scope deliverables, set schedules, talk to subject matter experts, write, edit, and produce customer-facing documentation for both GUI and API environments.
- Learn and master new documentation tools, methods, and delivery mechanisms as the work requires.
- Create and maintain all types of technical documentation and application content aimed at Akamai customers.
- Create UI text and in-app guidance to help customers navigate through Akamai products.
- Understand user goals and working with cross-functional teams to scope the user assistance deliverables
- Identify risks, solve problems, and communicate project progress.
