Job description
This position is contingent on a future opening with Gunnison. Estimated late September 2025 start date.
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000/year
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and format all required contract and program deliverables to ensure compliance with customer standards
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), team orientation and training materials, knowledge transfer plans (KTPs), and transition-in/out documentation.
- Create and update templates for test plans, test scripts, and test reports to ensure all customer-required elements are present.
- Organize, control versions, and archive documentation within customer-approved repositories.
- Review all documents for accuracy, clarity, grammatical correctness, and compliance before submission.
- Draft meeting agendas and meeting minutes as needed. Take notes during meetings with stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical writing experience.
- U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field of study OR Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or similar field of study.
Nice To Have
- Any professional certifications demonstrating knowledge of software testing.
- Understanding of IRS core financial/tax systems, security policies, and change management.
- Experience with any of the following software/tools:
- Computer Associates – Test Data Manager
- Software Accessibility Tools (e.g. Dragon Naturally Speaking)
- IBM Rational
- JMeter
- Junit
- Selenium Automated Testing
- Informatica
- Control-M
- Microsoft Office
- SharePoint
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust AND ability to prove IRS tax compliance.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
