Content Development Professional (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (EST or CST Preferred)
Our Client is looking for an experienced Content Development Professional to join a team focused on improving digital experiences for consumers, members, providers, employers, and agents. This role sits at the intersection of content, UX, research, and product design. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to create content that helps people navigate complex information in a clear and intuitive way. The ideal candidate understands how content influences the user experience and knows how to balance customer needs, business goals, accessibility standards, and compliance requirements.
What you'll be doing:
- Create and manage digital content including navigation labels, prompts, instructions, notifications, and error messages
- Partner with UX designers, researchers, product managers, developers, legal teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Help shape content strategy, information architecture, content standards, and voice and tone guidelines
- Turn complex concepts into simple, user-friendly experiences
- Conduct content audits and identify opportunities to improve consistency, usability, accessibility, and compliance
- Use customer feedback, research findings, analytics, and testing results to improve content effectiveness
- Contribute to content governance, standards, and best practices across digital platforms
- Ensure all content aligns with brand, accessibility, legal, and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Design, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, Content Strategy, or a similar discipline
- Experience creating content for digital products and customer-facing experiences
- Strong understanding of information architecture, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles
- Ability to work effectively with designers, researchers, developers, subject matter experts, and compliance partners
- Strong writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant UX writing, content design, or content strategy work
Preferred experience:
- Experience working in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Experience partnering with legal and compliance teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
