Job Title: Content Designer / Digital Content Writer

About the Role

We are seeking a Content Designer / Digital Content Writer to support public-facing digital channels for a leading financial services organization. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, visual designers, product teams, marketing, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone who can create clear, accessible, user-focused digital content while balancing business goals, brand voice, regulatory requirements, and SEO best practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Content Designer will be responsible for writing, editing, proofreading, and managing digital content across web and mobile experiences. Responsibilities include:

• Write, edit, and proofread clear, concise, conversational digital copy.
• Create content that supports user needs, business objectives, and brand standards.
• Apply plain language, accessibility, inclusive writing, and SEO best practices.
• Collaborate with UX, visual design, product, marketing, legal, regulatory, and business teams.
• Support content strategy activities such as content inventories, competitive research, usability questions, and wireframe copy.
• Conduct content walkthroughs with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage editorial workflow, feedback, approvals, version control, and signoffs.
• Author and update content in a CMS.
• Troubleshoot content-related defects and support implementation activities when required.
• Maintain consistency in voice, tone, style, and quality standards across digital properties.
• Stay current on digital content trends, accessibility standards, SEO, CMS tools, and emerging web technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Technical Writing, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a digital marketing, editorial, content design, or web writing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CP Style.
• Experience writing marketing, web, or digital content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including UX and creative/design teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable learning and using digital tools such as CMS platforms, Jira, Confluence, or similar systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AEM or a similar CMS.
• Familiarity with enterprise publishing workflows and project methodologies.
• Experience working with product design teams.
• Knowledge of content strategy and inclusive writing principles.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Understanding of SEO and user experience principles.
• Figma knowledge.
• Financial services or banking industry experience.
