UX Writer (m/f/d)

What Will You Do
As a UX writer at Riverty, you’ll help our users understand and navigate our service across all channels and touchpoints. You will help connect and unify user journeys across the Riverty app, web shop checkouts, invoicing, payments, and more.
You’ll join our very international UX team of designers, researchers, and two fellow UX writers, where you will be an advocate for purpose-driven dialogs and user-centric language and communication.
Your time will mainly be spent developing and refining the app and email content – think of invoices, payment reminders, and microcopy. You’ll work closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers on creating, adjusting, and implementing content across different products and user journeys. A part of your time will also be set aside for more strategic UX writing work, such as establishing and maintaining guidelines, building a content design system, setting up processes, conducting workshops, and other initiatives to help UX writing at Riverty shine as a discipline.
You will succeed in this role if you have the following skills:
- Product Writing Proficiency: If you haven’t worked as a UX writer before, you are an experienced copywriter, content marketer, technical writer, etc.
- Content Design: Capable of conceptualizing and structuring clear, concise, and persuasive content for various digital platforms that meets audience needs and enhances user experience.
- Collaboration: Experienced in working with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers.
- Communication: Proficient in simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences, using various writing styles to inform, persuade, or entertain.
- Strategic Thinking: Understands how wording affects overall goals and can develop plans for effective content management that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Affinity with Research: If you haven’t done UX or consumer research or conducted user interviews in a past role, you really want to learn.
- Content Design: Capable of conceptualizing and structuring engaging content that meets audience needs and enhances user experience.
- Dutch or German and English Fluency: preferably, you are a native Dutch or German speaker and have fluency in English.
And Some Nice To Have
- We would be especially excited if you have any of the following (if not, we’re also enthusiastic if you learn with us)
- Additional proficiency and writing experience in an additional language such as German, Swedish, Danish, French, Finnish, or another European language.
- Experience developing voice & tone guidelines, working with content design systems, components, or other content management and governance forms.
- Exposure to complex product ecosystems, including B2B, B2C, or B2B2C products.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and their application in design.
- Experience with localization or working with Crowdin or other translation tools.
- A background in linguistics.
- You’re excited about content-first design.
