We're looking for a clear-thinking, detail-driven Technical Writer to help turn complex cyber security, hardware, software and cloud concepts into practical documentation.
About the Role
At Keyek, we're building secure technology for identity, authentication and trusted digital systems. As our Technical Writer, you'll create and maintain the documentation that helps customers, partners and internal teams understand, implement and support our products. You'll work closely with engineering, product, security, manufacturing, operations and marketing teams to capture knowledge, clarify technical detail and make sure important product information is accurate, current and easy to find.
What You'll Do
- Create, organise and maintain technical documentation across Keyek products and internal systems
- Produce user guides, technical manuals, configuration guides, installation instructions, API documentation and release notes
- Translate complex hardware, software, security and cloud concepts into clear, user-friendly content
- Work with engineering, product, security, manufacturing and support teams to keep documentation accurate and current
- Maintain documentation standards, templates, version control practices and review workflows
- Improve documentation processes, tools and information architecture
- Capture key design decisions, issues and product knowledge to support IP creation and knowledge retention
- Contribute to customer enablement, partner-facing content, internal wiki pages and knowledge-base material
- Support marketing and communications content, including website copy, product messaging, brochures and campaign material
What we're looking for
- 5–7+ years’ experience in technical writing within a technology, engineering, defence, cyber security, software or hardware product environment
- Strong ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience creating structured documentation for products, platforms, systems or services
- Confidence working with technical teams to extract, test and clarify information
- Experience with tools such as Confluence and Microsoft 365
Desired
- An understanding of hardware, firmware, software, secure systems, embedded technology or cloud architecture
- Experience with web content management systems, marketing content or communications is highly valued
- Familiarity with regulated or security-sensitive environments
- Defence industry experience is advantageous; security clearance is preferred, or willingness to obtain clearance
About You
You take ownership and follow through, clarify assumptions and balance detail, accuracy and usability. You enjoy working across engineering, product, security, manufacturing and customer-facing teams, and care deeply about documentation quality, structure and consistency.
Why join Keyek?
- Be part of a growing Australian technology company
- Work on meaningful leading-edge security products
- Play a critical role in documentation that directly supports product quality, customer confidence and long-term knowledge retention.
