Senior Technical Writer

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
• Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise documentation.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software tools.
• Experience working with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content.
• Knowledge of document design principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain product documentation, including user guides, manuals, release notes, and online help systems.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure technical accuracy of documentation.
• Organize and write clear, concise, and user-friendly content for a variety of audiences.
• Edit and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company style guide.
• Create and maintain templates, style guides, and document standards to ensure consistency across all documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality documentation.
• Manage documentation projects from planning to delivery, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and communicating progress.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in technical writing to continuously improve documentation quality.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical writers as needed.
• Participate in product reviews, usability testing, and other activities to gather feedback and improve documentation effectiveness.
