Senior Technical Writer

Founded in 2017, ThrustMe is a pioneering space technology company specializing in advanced propulsion systems for small satellites. We are global experts in satellite propulsion, pushing the boundaries of streamlined in-orbit mobility for the rapidly expanding satellite constellation industry. Our clients across the US, Europe, and Asia trust us to design and deliver high-performance, precision-engineered propulsion systems that push technological boundaries while meeting demanding timelines and budgets. We made history in 2019 and 2020 with the world’s first in-orbit demonstrations of iodine-fueled electric propulsion systems. Today, we are experiencing rapid growth, with over 300 systems ordered to date.

As a Technical Writer you will play the important role of keeping the heritage and know-how of the company. You will be responsible for convincing the clients that our products are the best fit for their needs, with clear and effective document packages. You will also formalize the knowledge derived from experiments and product updates. As part of the Product Management team, you will work in close contact with the Product Owners, generating valuable internal reports that will keep the knowledge of the company strong and steady. This role requires a focused and methodological individual that will keep up with the fast rhythm of innovation. Key responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining product documentation and manuals.
• Translating complex technical information into clear content.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts and being part of the Product Management team.
• Editing and proofreading technical materials for accuracy and clarity.
• Ensuring documentation complies with space industry standards and guidelines.
• Producing and/or reviewing internal reports for the continuous development of all products.
• Participating in product reviews and updates.
• Report directly to the Head of Product Management Team.

Skills and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a similar technical discipline is required.
• 2+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing for space applications.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into customer-centric documentation.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
