Role: Senior UX Content Designer
Location: Toronto, ON (4 days onsite 1 day remote)
Duration: 12 Months
Type: Full-Time Contract
What will the designer be working on?
Online banking and digital servicing capabilities that empower clients to be independent and confident by creating simplified self-service online banking products to fulfil their unique needs and positively impacting their experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work within their squad (Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Content Designer, Design Research and Manager), to research and identify the client’s problem
- Create and evaluate potential solutions
- Create, test and translate the content
- Support their cross-functional partners: product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers and quality assurance teams while designing and building the solution
- Deep knowledge of the design process
- Ruthless editing skills to simplify content
- The ability to create content that increases client engagement
- Strong collaboration skills
- A curious, strategic, and analytical mindset;
- A natural leader self-starter with solid time management and presentation skills
- Experience designing mobile-first and comfort working on multiple projects
- Has adapted relatively quickly to our ways of working (3 months)
- Has extensive knowledge of design system and approach to content
- Fully collaborates with the immediate team (squad) on a daily basis
- Is self-motivated, self-sufficient, understands well how to be successful in a larger team environment and with multiple cross-functional partners, can identify opportunities for improvement within the team and contributes enthusiastically
Must Haves
- Content experience in digital product (UX writing for web and apps)
- Experience in mobile-first content
- Demonstrated ability to edit to the main client message
- Experience working in Lean UX / Agile project management environments
- Basic understanding of Interaction design, Visual Design
- Experience with usability research (focus on content)
Nice to Have:
- Has worked with large design teams and multiple stakeholders (Product/Business/Technical partners)
- Figma, Confluence, Jira experience
- Has worked on content strategy projects
- Basic, working knowledge of written French to spot translation issues
- A working knowledge of accessibility standards and methods to address them
