About the Role
Ou2there is seeking a skilled and collaborative Content Designer to join our remote team in redesigning a website. This role focuses on structuring user-centered content that improves accessibility, clarity, and navigation for key personas including federal employees, retirees, and benefits representatives. You will work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and UX/UI designers across agile sprints to create structured, accessible, and engaging content experiences for the new website.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document a content strategy aligned with user needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and synthesize information.
- Create intuitive content structures and draft content for each webpage in alignment with personas.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Document collaboration and feedback from stakeholders.
- Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria, deadlines, and quality standards.
Deliverables
- Sprint-based content strategy documentation.
- Page-level content structures (hierarchy, voice/tone, placement).
- Collaboration and meeting notes.
- Completed and reviewed copy aligned with accessibility and plain language principles.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing.
- Strong understanding of accessibility, plain language, and user-centered design.
- Experience working on government, healthcare, or benefit-related content is a plus.
- Comfortable working in agile environments (experience with Trello or similar tools preferred).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and iterate based on feedback.
