Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer with a strong focus on accessibility to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences that adhere to accessibility standards and best practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are accessible to users of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of digital products with a focus on accessibility, ensuring compliance with WCAG and other relevant standards.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify accessibility barriers and gather insights for improvement.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups that prioritize accessibility and user experience.
- Collaborate with developers to implement accessible design solutions and provide guidance on accessibility best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in accessibility technology, and advocate for inclusive design principles within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a UX Designer with a strong focus on accessibility.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG and ARIA.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
