Job description
ADWEEK is looking for a strong Content Strategist, who will play a crucial role in shaping and growing the ADWEEK Branded Content Studio. This role will use audience insights and data to create high-performing branded content programs, identify new revenue opportunities, and support the sales team in pitching tailored content solutions to clients. As an individual contributor, the Content Strategist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative content strategies and help drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data-Driven Strategy Development: Leverage first-party audience data to inform the creation of branded content strategies that drive high engagement and generate revenue for the Branded Content Studio.
- Identify Growth Opportunities: Use data analysis to identify whitespace in the marketplace and within target audiences, creating new content opportunities for the sales team to pitch to clients.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with the Branded Content Studio leadership team to identify emerging trends and content opportunities, ensuring alignment with broader studio goals.
- Lead Webinar Product Strategy: Elevate and execute ADWEEK’s premium webinar product: lead content development, host live broadcasts, and develop a strong understanding of the production process.
- Client Engagement: Assist in creating pitch decks, writing new content concepts, and facilitating brainstorming sessions to bring ideas to life and pitch them to clients.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Continuously track and analyze the performance of branded content programs by brand and product, translating data into actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with producers, creative, and sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of content strategies.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in branded content, marketing, or media strategy with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Candidates with agency experience in strategy or content roles also encouraged to apply.
- Skills & Tools: Strong proficiency in analyzing audience data and using platforms; experience in Pars.ly, Convertr, and/or GA4 a plus. Familiarity with content performance metrics, audience insights, and campaign strategy. Excellent communication skills with the ability to conceptualize and write compelling pitch decks; experience pitching to clients is a plus.
- Mindset & Approach: Creative, entrepreneurial, and data-driven mindset, with the ability to think strategically while being proactive in identifying new opportunities. Ability to work independently while managing collaboration across multiple teams, particularly with sales. Comfort level jumping into a team that excels at speed and agility bringing new ideas to market and breaking down operational barriers.
