Your project
The Content Designer works closely with product teams and experience designers to craft compelling content and world-class experiences for client's customers and partners. The Content Designer possesses a combination of UX writing and technical writing skills, and an understanding of user-centered design. Adaptability is key! We are a fast-paced organization, so the Content Designer must be comfortable with change and quick to learn new tools and client products and services.
Your tasks
- Deliver just the right amount of content in context—providing client's customers with the information they need when they need it, on the platform and device of their choosing.
- Develop technical self-help documentation of a high standard in a variety of media formats for target audiences.
- Use style and terminology guides, and adhere to writing authorities and Tone of Voice guidelines.
- Participate in peer reviews and act on feedback.
- Participate in user research to understand content needs and continually improve the user experience.
- Advocate for our customers. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and business goals, and drive user assistance solutions that align.
- Collaborate with other content development teams to shape our global content strategy.
- Collaborate with localization professionals to localize content for global markets.
- Research and participate in the implementation of tools and processes to improve internal productivity, content consistency, and end-user success.
Your profile
- Masterful communication and oral English communication skills. You can explain just about anything to anyone! There's meaning and intent behind the words you use, and if pressed, you can provide research-based justification for your word choices.
- Expertise in delivering an empathy-driven user experience. You use language not only to communicate technical information, but also to relate to your audience.
- Work closely with translators and content providers in other countries, teamwork is very important.
- Advanced knowledge of user assistance techniques, tools, and best practices (current and emerging) for omni-channel delivery.
- Experience with information architecture and structured authoring to build sustainable and searchable information structures and taxonomies.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills. If you recognize an opportunity to improve things, you take the initiative to make positive change.
- Excellent active listening and interviewing skills.
- Good understanding of design concepts, agile methodology, and business processes.
