About The Role:

The Content Strategist is a passionate storyteller who delights in developing and executing CFCU’s content strategy, from ideation to distribution. They’re never short of ideas for improving existing content, and they’re always on the lookout for content ideas and trends that will propel CFCU’s marketing forward. They’re a big-picture thinker who isn’t afraid to push the limits when it comes to trying our new content types or a new content platform. Reporting to the Director/Marketing, the Content Strategist will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop content that is aligned with CFCU’s brand and that measurably builds brand awareness, drives engagement, and converts.

This position has a starting annual rate of $54,300, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.

A Day in the life of a Content Strategist can look like:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with CFCU’s goals, target audience, and brand identity.
  • Responsible for the digital strategy that threads social, email, digital media buys, and all inbound marketing.
  • Produce high-quality, original, and engaging content across various channels, including, social media, email campaigns, and more.
  • Develop educational content about financial literacy, credit union services, savings, loans, and other financial topics to empower members with valuable insights.
  • Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and timely flow of content that aligns with marketing campaigns and key events.
  • Manage the distribution of content across various platforms, including social media channels, email marketing, and relevant third-party platforms to maximize reach and engagement.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of administrative experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a content strategist, copywriter, or similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
  • Experience using email marketing and a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools to track content performance and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into easily understandable content.
  • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging content strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Timely work production.
