The Fun Stuff:

• Assist the U.S. Government in support of its communications and marketing
• Collect and analyze requirements for communications product development, to include print, digital, social media, marketing campaigns, and strategy planning products
• Write a variety of communications for a variety of audiences using a wide range of media, from print to web to email to talking points
• Draft tailored enterprise-wide messages for internal and external partners, stakeholders, and broad external audiences to support national efforts
• Participate in interdepartmental and interagency collaborative efforts developing communications products and content in support of engagements with internal and external stakeholders and audiences
• Ensure that communication campaigns are in line with the organization's brand, position, and strategic message
• Writing properly curated content for blogs, vlogs, newsletters, social media posts, brochures, advertising, and presentations
• Event support, including product content, coordination, and participation

The Necessities:

• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a business, marketing, communications, or creative field
• You have experience in cybersecurity, defense, and/or national security
• You know how to manage vendors for marketing and advertising efforts
• You are a strong communicator with the ability to provide and receive constructive criticism, as well as the ability to articulate concepts and rationale directly to clients
• You have strong writing abilities and are able to create tailored content based on topic, audience, and product
• You know how to hit deadlines and get the job done
• You lead by example, with a passion for working with designers
• You are cool and collected under pressure and know how to stay positive and come up with a plan when presented with a challenge
• You are comfortable managing timelines and setting expectations
