Job description
Our client is seeking a Content Designer to collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, research, design, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance. In this role, you’ll deliver clear, accessible, and timely content that helps consumers, members, providers, employers, and agents successfully navigate digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Define, create, and manage digital content including navigation labels, prompts, and error messages to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with user needs and business goals.
- Develop content strategies and contribute to information architecture, content types, and voice and tone.
- Align content with audience needs, research insights, brand standards, legal/compliance requirements, accessibility best practices, and digital standards.
- Partner with UX professionals on content organization, navigation, site maps, and information architecture.
- Simplify complex concepts into clear, concise, and contextual content and taxonomies.
- Conduct regular content audits and inventories to identify gaps in quality, compliance, standards, and branding.
- Continuously improve content based on user feedback, analytics, and testing.
- Maintain digital content guidelines, standards, tools, and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, and UX writing.
- Proven ability to design accessible, scalable, user-centered content.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable sharing work and incorporating constructive feedback.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including subject matter experts and legal/compliance partners.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant content design and UX writing work (required with application).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated environments with legal and compliance oversight.
- Familiarity with agile and collaboration tools such as Jira.
