UX Writer / Content Designer III

itD is seeking a UX Writer / Content Designer III to support a high-impact content design team focused on next-generation wearables. This role combines strategic content creation with strong project management, helping shape the product experiences of our clients latest wearable devices and companion apps. The ideal candidate brings a thoughtful, systems-oriented approach to UX, excels in ambiguous environments, and thrives in highly collaborative cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, marketing, and engineering to develop high-impact content for wearable devices and their companion app.
• Create and iterate on UX content including onboarding flows, notifications, accessibility language, educational content, and troubleshooting support.
• Manage content timelines and deliverables aligned to project milestones.
• Support naming conventions, map/navigation flows, and template development.
• Contribute to the development of content design standards and system templates used by internal partners.
• Help define and maintain wiki documentation for design practices and guidance.
• Participate in weekly feedback sessions and adjust based on stakeholder input.
• Show work proactively and incorporate feedback before presenting to cross-functional partners.

The internal responsibilities will be as follows:

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
• Complete client case studies and learning material. (Blogs, media material).
• Build out material to contribute to Digital Transformation practice.
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required qualifications and skills

• 10+ years of UX writing, content design, or related experience.
• Demonstrated fluency in Figma and experience influencing product and design decisions.
• Proven ability to build scalable content and interaction systems.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX writing and content strategy for complex products.
• Experience working on high-impact cross-functional teams.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing requirements.
• Ability to write for accessibility, localization, and voice-based interaction systems.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Former experience working with AI-driven platforms or wearable technology (e.g., smart glasses).
• Prior experience with content for augmented/virtual reality, voice UI, or emerging tech.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience also considered.
