Job description
We're looking for an experienced Freelance Content Strategist to adapt an existing APAC content strategy for the South Korean market. This is a fixed-scope sprint project where you'll review an established regional strategy and create a market-specific adaptation pack that helps local teams execute with greater cultural relevance—without changing the overarching strategic direction. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong local market expertise and enjoys turning broad regional strategies into locally meaningful recommendations.
About the Role
- Review an existing APAC content strategy and identify opportunities for adaptation to the South Korea market.
- Develop a comprehensive Regional Adaptation Pack (approximately 10 pages) that provides practical guidance for local execution.
- Identify local content priorities, audience behaviours, cultural insights, messaging considerations, and relevant content opportunities.
- Recommend platform-specific considerations based on local digital and social media consumption habits.
- Ensure recommendations remain aligned with the existing regional strategy while enhancing local relevance.
- Present insights in a clear, concise, and actionable format suitable for regional and local stakeholders.
- Work independently while collaborating with the regional team throughout the project.
About You
- 3+ years of experience developing content strategies, marketing strategies, or editorial frameworks for South Korea audiences.
- Based in the South Korea or have extensive knowledge of the local market.
- Strong understanding of local culture, consumer behaviour, digital platforms, and emerging content trends.
- Able to think strategically while working within established brand or regional frameworks.
- Excellent written English with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable managing a fast-paced, fixed-scope project independently.
- Experience within healthcare, family-focused organisations, education, or neurodiversity-related sectors is highly regarded, but not essential.
