Overview
Are you a strategic storyteller who focuses on client satisfaction and has a passion for driving e-commerce growth? NetElixir is looking for a passionate, client-facing Content Strategist to join our Client Strategy team in Princeton, NJ.
In this role, you will act as an internal wordsmith, a leader of brand voice, and a strategic partner to our clients. You will be responsible for understanding our retail ecommerce clients' business goals and turning scattered ideas into tight, impactful content strategies that drive online customer acquisition and e-commerce growth. The perfect candidate possesses a blend of grit, deep curiosity, and analytical thinking, with the ability to confidently present insights directly to clients.
What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)
- As a Content & Brand Strategist, you will bridge the gap between creative execution and e-commerce strategy:
- Own the brand voice across multiple client accounts, adapting tone, style, messaging, and key differentiators to create content that feels distinct, consistent, and impactful for each brand.
- Partner with the Client Strategy team and participate in client meetings to present insights, pitch content strategies, and provide actionable recommendations that support ecommerce growth and overall business goals.
- Multichannel Content Production: Produce and oversee brand-aligned content across key ecommerce acquisition and engagement channels. Ensure content is tailored to each platform’s requirements, customer intent, and brand voice while supporting discoverability, engagement, and conversion.
- SEO: Create and optimize metadata, landing pages, blogs, articles, product/category copy, content audits, competitor research, and voice search insights.
- Paid Media: Develop ad copy aligned to platform specifications across Google, Microsoft Bing, ChatGPT Ads, and other paid media channels.
- Organic Social: Support organic social content development, including post copy, captions, campaign messaging, content themes, community-forward storytelling, and platform-specific adaptations.
- Emerging Ecommerce Touchpoints: Research upcoming ecommerce content opportunities across AI search, conversational commerce, marketplace experiences, retail media, and other evolving customer discovery channels.
What Makes You a Great Candidate (Requirements)
- Experience: 5+ years of content writing and strategy experience, preferably within a Digital Marketing, Online Media, or Agency environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, Journalism, English, or other mass communication disciplines.
- E-Commerce & Digital Savvy: Proven experience in multi-channel content creation with a solid understanding of how content drives e-commerce performance and SEO.
- Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be comfortable being client-facing and probing deeper to get the data you need.
- Editorial Excellence: A love of reading and writing, mixed with an obsession for grammar, syntax, and attention to detail. You have a formal writing background conforming to main style guides.
- Agility & Grit: Highly organized with a structured approach to managing your schedule and deadlines. You are willing to adjust strategies to meet client needs and embrace changes in industry algorithms.
- Technical Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard digital marketing tools.
