Technical Writer

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Technical Writer for a Full-Time position.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for designing/creating/maintaining technical and knowledge-based documentation including but not limited to: Knowledge Repository (Cherwell), Process/Procedure Documents, Online Help, User guides, White papers, Requirements documents, Use cases, Documentation of items escalated to OIG Tier III and Engineering personnel
• The Technical Writer must also create an effective working relationship with the COR, COTRs, Engineers, and CIO management team.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, including experience with IT documentation
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and synthesize written technical guidance
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
• Experience compiling training materials, for verbal presentations and written guides
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability and patience to pay attention to detail
