Role: Senior Content Strategist – Financial Services

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) – Hybrid/Onsite (2-3x/week)

About the role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Content Strategist to lead key initiatives for Top five Investment Bank's social media expansion across multiple business units (Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Investment Management). This role merges a deep understanding of financial markets with creative expertise in storytelling, digital engagement and content optimization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, creative partners and compliance teams to craft compelling narratives while adhering to Top five Investment Bank's stringent brand and regulatory guidelines. If you are a versatile storyteller, a creative problem-solver, and content expert who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Planning & Thought Leadership: Develop and maintain a holistic editorial roadmap for executives across various lines of business (IB, IM, CM). Identify whitespace opportunities through competitor research, audience insights and industry trends—and translate them into content themes that elevate the firm’s thought leadership.
  • Content Development & Oversight: Collaborate with cross‐functional teams (creative designers, copywriters, compliance, etc.) to produce high‐impact LinkedIn posts, articles, infographics and other digital assets. Own the editorial process from ideation through publication, ensuring a consistent tone, voice and messaging that are aligned with Top five Investment Bank's brand.
  • Cross‐Functional Collaboration: Liaise with business unit leads, marketing and other internal stakeholders to capture subject matter expertise, gather relevant data and align on key messaging. Coordinate with technology platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Share of Model, Pencil Pro) for streamlined publishing and analytics tracking.
  • Compliance & Governance: Lead the compliance review workflow, partnering with internal legal/risk teams to ensure all content meets regulatory obligations. Maintain rigorous documentation and version control for timely approvals and audits.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Establish KPIs and reporting cadences to measure engagement, reach and ROI of executive content. Continuously refine content strategies based on real‐time analytics, competitive intelligence and feedback from stakeholders and executives.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Oversee a small team of strategists, writers and creative specialists. Provide guidance to team members about content best practices, brand standards and compliance protocols. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging experimentation with new platforms, formats and storytelling techniques.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. 8–10+ years of content strategy, social media or editorial experience, specifically within financial services (strongly preferred) or other highly regulated industries.
  • Financial Knowledge: Demonstrated familiarity with investment banking, capital markets and/or asset management topics—enough to translate complex financial concepts into engaging, audience‐friendly copy.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience working with content creation and management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, CMS platforms, AI‐driven tools like Pencil Pro) and analytic dashboards. Proficiency interpreting performance metrics (engagement, conversions, sentiment, etc.) to optimize content.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with senior executives and cross‐functional teams. Clear, concise writing style with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across audience segments.
  • Organizational & Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing projects under tight deadlines and multiple priorities. Experience supervising junior staff or leading cross‐functional workstreams. Ability to interpret data analytics to inform decision-making and improve content effectiveness.

At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $123,250.00 to $137,750.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
