SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
- 7+ years of experience in technical writing within fintech, banking, or API-driven environments
- Advanced proficiency in API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Confluence)
- Strong technical literacy in JSON and YAML for documentation and configuration
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable content for diverse audiences
- Proven track record of working within Agile teams alongside Product Owners, IT, and Compliance
Secondary (Good to Have):
- Direct experience in Open Banking or Open Finance ecosystems
- Experience with roadmap development and aligning documentation strategy with product direction
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills (technical vs. non-technical communication)
- Ability to manage documentation lifecycles across regulatory and compliance requirements
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join an onsite team in Atlanta, GA, for a critical engagement. This role sits at the intersection of business communication and sophisticated API-driven ecosystems. You will be responsible for producing comprehensive documentation that supports internal and external partners, ensuring that complex value streams within the open banking landscape are captured with precision, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce high-quality documentation: Develop and maintain user guides, manuals, release notes, and knowledge-base articles tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Own API documentation lifecycle: Utilize Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman to manage API documentation, ensuring high proficiency in formatting standards such as JSON and YAML.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product Owners, IT, and Compliance teams to document intricate use cases and value streams in an Agile environment.
- Drive strategic alignment: Support product roadmap development by collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure documentation strategy supports broader product goals.
- Advocate for documentation excellence: Ensure all deliverables adhere to strict internal and regulatory standards, effectively communicating the business value of open banking capabilities.
