Position Overview

Job Title: Technical Writer – AI Documentation Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Assignment)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $46.45 per hour

In this innovative role, you'll combine traditional technical writing expertise with modern AI-powered tools to develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that improves productivity, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Writer, You Will

• Create, edit, and maintain a variety of technical documentation, including:
• Procedures
• Work Instructions
• Forms
• Templates
• Guidance Documents
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across Quality, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Support teams to gather technical information.
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot and similar platforms to accelerate content development, editing, summarization, and organization.
• Review, validate, and refine AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with documentation standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation templates, style guides, and content governance practices.
• Organize and improve content within knowledge management systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline documentation workflows through AI and automation technologies.
• Maintain documentation consistency and alignment with product releases, process changes, and organizational updates.
• Support documentation lifecycle management and version control activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve documentation quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

We're looking for professionals with:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional technical writing experience.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve documentation development and editing workflows.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and best practices for AI-assisted content generation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Pay Details: $46.45 per hour
