Senior Technical Writer

We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team located in Guadalajara - Mexico.

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

Program Management Services:

• Maintain and update program plans weekly in systems like Hive and Jira. Ensure alignment of delivery dates with scope, resources, and costs. Communicate and document changes in business cases due to scope or timeline shifts. Adapt to evolving business priorities and manage focus accordingly. Identify and escalate program blockers, decisions, and clarification points. Contribute to the improvement of Program Management best practices.

Technical Writing of Business Requirements Documentation:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and the Program Manager to document business requirements. Capture and structure key details, including stakeholders, business problems, actors, and use cases. Participate in IT-led refinement sessions for further documentation accuracy.

Governance and Additional Initiatives:

• Support initiatives and guide them through the Governance process. Work with Client personnel to ensure high-quality deliverables. Provide additional program support as required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, business analysis, or a related role within a technology-driven environment.
• Strong experience documenting business requirements, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Hive, and other Agile tracking systems.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into clear and concise documentation.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of documentation tasks.
• Experience supporting program management activities and aligning documentation with business objectives.
• Prior experience working remotely with cross-functional teams is a plus.
