Content Designer

On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer for a 12-month contract. This position is hybrid with 4 days per week onsite in Montreal.

Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer

The Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer will support the design and enhancement of digital experiences (web and mobile), with a focus on product acquisition journeys and client experience. The role is responsible for creating clear, user-centered messaging aligned to product goals, communication standards, and compliance requirements.

Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer - Responsibilities:

• Develop content strategies that support clients’ information and understanding needs within the digital products being designed.
• Facilitate collaborative design activities, ideation sessions, and team working sessions.
• Articulate the rationale behind content strategy decisions and provide design guidance to product team members.
• Provide practical direction on content design communication standards, tools, channels, and processes.
• Advocate for clients by representing their needs and considering how content impacts other aspects of product design.
• Create and refine client-focused content (labels, microcopy, explanatory text, hidden/alternative text, metadata, in-product support content, and go-to-market content).
• Partner with peers to shape or develop non-text content such as iconography, information graphics, imagery, and data.
• Apply Inclusive Design principles in content creation and editing.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure digital experiences meet applicable obligations and requirements.
• Manage documentation and sharing of content throughout its lifecycle.
• Work with a Design Researcher and/or Design Lead to align on research questions and plan research/testing activities.
• Initiate and/or participate in testing to evaluate the effectiveness of content strategies and executions.
• Research competitive content/messaging approaches and perform competitive and content audits as needed.

Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer - Mandatory Skills:

• Content experience in digital product (UX writing).
• Demonstrated ability to edit down to the main client message.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Understanding of Interaction Design and Visual Design.
• Experience writing in English and French.

Bilingual (E/F) - Content Designer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Interaction and Visual Design experience.
• Usability research experience (with a focus on content).
• Experience working with large design teams and multiple stakeholders (Product/Business/Technical partners).
• Experience with design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Confluence, Jira).
• Experience with content strategy initiatives.
