Copywriter & Content Strategist: Psychology-Led, Revenue-Focused

About the Role

We're looking for a highly curious, commercially minded copywriter who is genuinely interested in human psychology, persuasion and what makes people buy. You'll be working across a small portfolio of growing brands, including a design-focused ecommerce tableware and homeware brand, and a premium kitchen renovation business. Your job will be to help shape messaging that drives desire, handles objections, agitates pain points, builds trust and ultimately influences customer decisions.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll be involved in a wide range of copy, content and marketing work, including:

  • Email newsletter copy
  • Ad copy and creative angles
  • Persona and customer psychology packs
  • Blog and website content
  • Video scripts
  • Influencer outreach and content direction
  • Brand positioning and campaign messaging
  • Customer and competitor research

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys thinking deeply about why people respond to certain words, hooks, offers, stories and visuals. You should be interested in how copy affects revenue, not just whether it "sounds nice." You'll need to be comfortable working across both brand and performance. The work needs to sell, but it also needs taste, restraint and a strong understanding of premium positioning.

AI Is Important to This Role

We want someone who is genuinely excited by AI. You do not need to be an expert, but you should already be using AI in some way to improve your thinking, research, writing or output — and be eager to keep developing in this area. We are not looking for someone who uses AI like the 90% of others. We want someone who sees it as a serious tool for better thinking, faster research and stronger creative output.

Working Style

We are mostly work-from-home, so you'll need to be proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership without being micromanaged. This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, ambiguity and solving problems — not someone who wants each day to look exactly the same.

  • You only want to write within a narrow copywriting brief

Experience

Experience is useful, but it is not the main thing we care about. What matters more is curiosity, taste, commercial thinking, trustworthiness and how you approach the work. As part of the hiring process, there will be a short practical copy and strategy task. We want to see how you think, research, structure ideas and approach persuasion.

Growth Potential

For the right person, this role can grow into a broader creative strategy, brand positioning or content leadership position across the portfolio.
