About this opportunity:
We're looking for a DevOps-focused Technical Writer to join our team and take ownership of deployment documentation. Our product offers a wide range of deployment options (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and more), and your main focus will be creating and maintaining clear, tested, and reliable documentation that helps our customers succeed. That said, your role won't be limited to deployment docs. You'll have full freedom to explore adjacent areas: improve our documentation website, contribute to user onboarding, polish API references, or help shape our internal documentation and writing processes. We're currently a team of two writers, looking for a third person to join us. Our team is deeply embedded in release cycles and product development. Documentation is a core part of the product, and we approach it that way. We actively maintain and evolve it, seek out feedback and collaborate with engineers and designers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain deployment documentation across various supported methods
- Keep deployment docs up-to-date and aligned with product releases
- Maintain operational docs for deployed nodes, including configuration best practices
- Create troubleshooting guides for common deployment-related issues
- Document our supporting tools and open-source components requiring deployment
- Beyond core focus:
- Improving the public documentation site UX, structure, and features
- Maintaining consistent terminology across product and docs
- Participating in localization and automation of documentation workflows
- Maintaining and polishing API references
Required Qualifications:
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher, with strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and visually
- Experience documenting deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
- Solid understanding of Git and Docs-as-Code workflows
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (managing containers, writing manifests, Helm charts)
- Experience with Linux environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
- Knowledge of static site generators (e.g., Docusaurus, MkDocs)
What we offer:
- Ability to work on a product that makes the Internet safer
- Completely remote work and flexible working hours
- Competitive salary and bonuses
- Paid days off
- Medical insurance
- Working equipment
- Professional development and career growth
