UX Writer & Content Designer
Location: London, UK (Hybrid – Tues to Thurs onsite, Mon & Fri remote)
Duration: Contract until 4th September 2026
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £48.08 per hour
Working Hours: Standard business hours
Overview
We're looking for a talented UX Writer & Content Designer to shape intuitive, user-centred digital experiences. In this role, you will combine content strategy, UX writing, and design thinking to create seamless product experiences that drive engagement and usability. You will partner cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver high-impact UX solutions, influencing product direction and ensuring consistency across experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clear, user-focused content that guides users effectively through digital experiences
- Define and deliver scalable UX writing and content design frameworks across products and platforms
- Create product narratives and messaging that align with business goals and user needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing, legal) to align on product vision and user experience
- Use data, research, and insights to inform UX decisions and improve product performance
- Conduct content audits to identify opportunities to enhance user journeys and increase product value
- Contribute to design systems, including writing standards, patterns, and accessibility guidelines
- Prototype and visualise content using design tools to support product development
- Improve UX through ongoing testing, research, and stakeholder feedback
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and influence decision-making across teams
- Identify opportunities to improve accessibility, localisation, and overall product quality
- Support UX research and testing, or conduct independent research to inform design direction
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in UX writing, content design, or related fields
- Strong understanding of UX principles and user-centred design methodologies
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content
- Experience working across the product development lifecycle
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to inform decisions
- Familiarity with content systems, style guides, and design frameworks
